Alcohol Permitting and Regulatory
Attorneys in Taft’s Alcohol Permitting and Regulatory practice counsel and assist clients in Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Minnesota to understand and navigate the legal and administrative process to obtain permits to manufacture, distribute and sell alcohol beverages, as well as compliance matters relating to the production and use of alcohol for industrial purposes. We also assist clients with enforcement matters at the state and local level.
Alcohol permitting is a unique feature in economic development on both the retail side and the industrial or distribution side of business. For many clients, a primary concern regarding alcohol permits is acquiring the appropriate permits and complying with state and federal statutory and administrative regulations to maintain the permits.
Our attorneys can provide clients a full range of legal skills involving business services, including intellectual property matters that play a unique role in the permitted alcohol business with respect to labeling and product identity.
With offices in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Minnesota, our Alcohol Permitting and Regulatory practice has convenient and ready access to the offices of the Alcohol & Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau (TTB) and the alcohol control administrative agencies and administrative enforcement commissions in each state that regulate and enforce state and local alcohol compliance issues.
