Ronald D. Holman II

RONALD D. HOLMAN, II is a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Labor and Employment groups. He practices extensively in the areas of national class action defense and complex business litigation. As such, he plays a leadership role in developing and executing successful defense strategies that are tailored to the needs of national and state clients and their in-house counsel. Ron also has significant first-chair experience in a wide range of employment disputes. His practice includes defending local, state and national clients in claims involving age, race and gender discrimination; sexual harassment; wrongful discharge; retaliation; disability; conversion; unjust enrichment; non-compete agreements; trade secrets; unfair competition; employment investigations; OSHA and FLSA violations.

Along with Ohio state and federal trial courts, Ron has represented clients before Ohio appellate courts, the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Ron was appointed by the chief judge of the Northern District of Ohio to the federal court’s Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Group and Magistrate Selection Panel. He is also a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Ron served on the transition committees for city of Cleveland Mayors Jane Campbell and Frank Jackson. For more than a decade, he appeared as a legal analyst and commentator on News Channel 5 – WEWS-TV (the Cleveland ABC news affiliate). Ron earned his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
